Editors are in a unique position to shape what gets published, which voices are amplified, and what norms are reinforced. This course explores the sources of bias in editorial processes and provides tools and policies editors can adopt to ensure more inclusive peer review, diverse authorship, and fair assessment of research from underrepresented populations or perspectives.
Practical Recommendations for Editors to Promote Representative Developmental Science
The Editor Course offers practical recommendations for journal editors on how to promote equity, inclusion, and representation within developmental science through editorial decision-making. Editors are in a unique position to shape what gets published, which voices are amplified, and what norms are reinforced.
